נקודות הכשל
- הנחה שהסיווג הישראלי הוא הקובע. גב' בריטניה עובדת לפי לוחות MDR 2001 — ושם פרגבלין הוא לוח 3 וטרמדול לוח 3, בשונה ממדינות רבות
- חריגה מ-3 חודשי אספקה. המקור מפורש: העודף "will be taken away" ו-"will be seized", והנוסע עצמו הוא ה-importer
- מכתב שאינו מאפשר לחשב את הכמות — המקור דורש שיהיה "evident" מהתאריכים ומהכמויות שלא נישאים יותר מ-3 חודשים
- מכתב בלי מספר הרישוי המקצועי של הרופא — פרט שמופיע במפורש ברשימת התוכן
- הכנסת התרופה למטען הנמסר. המקור דורש כבודת יד במפורש
- תכנון לשלוח תוספת בדואר במהלך השהות — אסור מפורשות, נתפס

אין דבר כזה "תרופה מבוקרת" באופן כללי. יש סיווג של חומר מסוים במדינה מסוימת בתאריך מסוים. מטופל שלמד את הכללים בטיול הקודם שלו לספרד ומיישם אותם בלונדון — עושה בדיוק את הטעות שהמאגר שלנו נבנה כדי למנוע.
עוד שתי מלכודות סיווג באותו יעד
הראשונה היא איות: השם הבינלאומי של אחד הממריצים נכתב בבריטניה בצורה מעט שונה, ומי שמחפש את האיות המקובל ברשימה הרשמית לא מוצא אותו — ומסיק בטעות שהחומר אינו מבוקר. השנייה היא חומר שנשמע כמעט זהה לפסאודואפדרין אך הוא חומר אחר לגמרי, ומופיע ברשימה. חיפוש חופשי במסמך רשמי מחזיר במקרה כזה תוצאה שגויה לשני הכיוונים. זו בדיוק הסיבה שהמאגר שלנו מחזיק סיווג לכל חומר בנפרד, עם ציטוט מהמקור, ולא הסתמכות על חיפוש טקסט.
